Evening fellow archers I would like to give you a review of the peep I have started using. The peep is from the RedHawk Archery company. I read a review on BHP and contacted Terry Whitford about the peep. He was kind enough to send me a peep called 4040 as I do not shoot with rubber tubing. They are very simple to install and comes with good instructions on how to set up the peep. The peep has a .375 amber lens that is coated for none glare and the center has a .100 clear lens to see the pins through. Installed the peep on Labor Day in the morning and shot through out the day with no problems. At around 7:30 in the evening I started to shoot again and much to my surprise had to quit because not enough light for the pins to glow. Although I did shoot until 8:15 with the pins not glowing. To my surprise the groups were still holding about a 3" circle. But I was not having any problems seeing through the peep. The test that I use is a 20yd shot because this is something as hunters we hope to get at our game. I have asked Joe to post pictures for me at the end of the review so you can see the groups that I shot on 9/7 . The first one that is the tightest was shot at 7:50 and the other three were at 8:15 . Now these groups were shot under overcast skis so the light was even less tonight than on Labor day. The cost of the peep is not that pricey for a good hunting or target peep. You can check out more about the peep at
