Right on Bob! I have always wanted to go to Pearl Harbour and pay my respects to the souls who lost their lives on that day. You are humbled when you look around the base with the mountains as a back drop and an idea of the scope of attack that day. While we were at the Memorial, a survivor of the Arizona was there. He had to be in his 90+ years. He thanked everyone for coming. God Bless him. Bob

Thanks Bob for posting that. While we were there we also went to Schoffield Barracks, You could see where the bullets hit the building, We drove the road from one military base to another base, this road takes you through the valley where the enemy planes flew low to their targets. Being retired Air Force we were able to gain access to the bases

Those that serve and put themselves in harms way to protect freedom and law deserve our Respect and Support. For those who retire or are injured from this service and for those who make the ultimate sacrafice by giving their life, we owe you a debt to never forget.
I was not alive on that Dec. 7, 1941. But that day as others like it have shaped the world I was born too. I have a better life because of those who served in the past, and it is maintained by those who serve now. Again God Bless all of them.
I am proud of Canada, but when I looked up at the Stars and Stripes I felt even more proud to be your neigbor.
Bob

Bob that which you stated is oh so very true. Some people are forgetting what our father's and grandfathers have done to protect our freedom. With some of the young people of today miss out on understanding what freedom really means. I myself never served in the armed forces but do respect what they do for us each and every day of the year. My father-in-law was a retired military man how served as McArther's Honor Guard and then served the rest of his time in the Air Force. So I do have a great understanding of what it takes to have and keep our freedom. Again Thank you for the kind words Bob. All I also knew where you where by the look up at the flag.
