Some of you remember we had a best Joke contest last summer. The winner received some nice prizes, This time I would like to have a Random Act of Kindness Contest. This is the way it would work: During the month of March you perform a "random act of kindness for someone", post what you did here. My secret judges will decide a winner. IT DOES NOT have to be a big act, just exten some kindness to some one. The winner will receive a wood model "similar" to the photo. It will be free TYD. This does not include paying your income tax, you have to do that, or taking you mother-in-law shopping, your spouse will make you do that.
We need at least 10 entries to make it work, you may enter more then once. For our members not in the US, I will pay up to $20.00 shipping, you will have to pay customs(if any. Prize value at about $45.00

I know the contest won't start until tomorrow, but since I can't win I post my story now. This is what got me thinking about what type of contest we could have. We have older friends from up-state New York who will be spending the rest of the winter in Florida. We know they like old movies. What I did: bought 2 DVD movies at Walmart, on sale, made a box of movies, popcorn, candy bars , Jelly bellies, and hot cocoa mix. I put a note in the box "night at the movies, thinking about you both. Got a call today and they just loved it.

To day I was walking to the store and noticed a women and a young boy pulled over on the side of the road. I approached and asked what the problem was The women replied that she was not sure, so I asked if she would mind if I took a look to see if I could fix the problem and save her the trouble of calling the tow truck. So I went down the normal list and noticed that familiar clicking sound when I turned the key, Noticing she had a stick I told her how to pop the clutch this took some time....... But once she figured out what I was trying to explain the two jumped in the car and I began to push. After I got up a little speed I tapped the trunk and she popped the clutch the car started rite up and off they went. It made me feel good to help I know it's not much it's more like common courtesy but it is all I got .....

Great, little thing but would cause her a lot of time and money if you had not come along.

This one doesn't compare to Justin's story, but here's the email I got this afternoon.
Bob-
You helped me field dress my first deer and I wanted to thank you again. Don't know what would've happened if I'd done it myself. I hadn't been to that particular spot in awhile and wanted to touch base with you to see if you pulled out a deer or not ( I know you were also hunting the area during gun season) Hope it turned out well.
Andy
I was walking out of the woods after hunting about 15 minutes from my house. I had went out with my friend's son, Kyle. At dark, I couldn't locate him. He dates my daughter, so he was probably making a bee-line to her. Anyway, I proceed to walk out. I notice up ahead a light beam from a small flashlight. I get closer thinking that it's Kyle. When I get there I find out that it's not Kyle, but a newbie hunter, named Andy, that had arrowed a small "doe". I looked down at his deer and revealed to him that it was a button buck. He immediately began to apologize saying that if he'd have noticed it was a buck, that he wouldn't have shot it. I congratulated him on his first deer and told him not to worry about it being a button buck. He then began to ask, "What's next?" I was suprised to learn that he'd never field-dressed a deer. No big deal, I coached him through it. We both dragged it the 3/4 mile up to the parking lot (no vehicles allowed on the public property we were hunting). And I then waited with him until his brother drove some 70 miles from Brookpark, Ohio to help him get the deer home. Needless to say I got home later than planned that evening but made a friend and fellow bowhunter.
I love the friendships that bowhunting and archery have forged for me.

he is lucky you came along if it had been some one else they may have ridiculed him for shooting a button buck and as a result pushed him out of the woods for ever. When I was 11 I shot a fawn on accident it was standing next to a doe I was trying to take. My uncle started to yell at me as my grandpa stepped in and stopped him saying we all make mistakes. Had my grandpa not been there I would have probably stopped hunting.

Justin,
He has little experience field-dressing deer, but that's why he had called his brother. I tried to save his brother the drive, but Andy later told me that his brother wanted to share the experience. They both bowhunt now and enjoy it alot.

Mine is simple in the last 6 months I had both my best removed and the last one about three weeks ago and was unable to pull my bowfishing bow back I had a buddy of mine lent me a osprey turned down to 22 lbs it was great. So I contacted joe and he is know building me a custom bow for my needs and was so nice about it he doesn't even know me but jumped right on board and got the ball rolling to make it where I'll be able to get back in action and for that I think that is the most toughtful thing anyone has ever done for me. GOD BLESS YOU JOE and may your business thrive.
