How many here are on this new Op system?

I just put it on a new hard drive and working through the normal problems. The part I at not sure of is will it still run Office XP?

Figured as we go to this new OS we could keep some dialog here to help.

So far I like the system, much faster and more input from user to customize what you want.

I just went from XP (PC) to OS X(Macbook Pro), Mac winns every time! :D
But I still have a few PCs running here at home.
I have not yet tried W7 but I'm interested in what you have to say about it.

Erik, so for I can say when you upgrade the thing to to is save your files and program types an codes.

Zero out the hard drive and put on a fresh install of windows xp service pack 2. Then install upgrade to windows 7

Program reminds me a lot of linux. As uprades come from OEM programs and hardware you get no conflicts.

I will update more as I get things running.

I don't have any experience with Office XP or Windows7 , but I have a hard time believing that you could not use your older version of office on the new OS. Most systems are backwards compatible like that. You could also try the compatibility mode that exists (atleast in XP).

Mark, I hear you on the backwards compatilble. I am going to try it but seems windows has a seperate program for 7 too run in xp mode. I was hoping for new fresh instals of office 7 to make life easier.

Guess they are waiting to see how many jump on board.
