A friend of mine Scott Brush from Brushfire Hydrographics came up with an Idea for a sight bracket about 2 years ago. He calls it the Swing Pin and it is based on the same concepts as the Keller Pendulum Sight but is a lot more advanced and beefed up to work with a pin system or a red dot scope.

My question is would this offering be of want to those who use the Pollington Red Dot?

I am looking at buying the rights to the sight bracket system from Scott and building them.

They make a great tree stand site and the concept is proven to work.

Thanks for the input.

Bob

I think it could make very nice hunting site. Everyone looks for the most accurate hunting set up they can get. What is the distance of shot range? This can make a big factor in if viable to hunters.

Thank you for the responses I will do my best to answer.

The pendulum part is set on the ground to 25 to 30 yards and will basically give you anywhere from 5 yards from the tree to 30 yards.

Also the site is on a slider so from the ground you can set 20/30/40/50......yards.

Scott does have a bracket to put on the Red Dot and I will get pictures of the system on a Oneida Bow.

The pendulum part lockss when you want to use it from the ground. Very quiet and smooth.

Bob

Went over to Scotts today and got two of the proto types. The first one I posted was a revised version from the original that had a few more issue because the machine guy did not have the knowledge to make this work.

Original first proto;

Scott had another qualified machine person look at the system and he did some rework which actually was closer to Scotts oringinal concept. :wink:

Revised system;

With Scotts permission we will have Ben (See post on limb cups) look at this and see if he can machine the revised bracket and production costs.

Seeing the great work he did on the limb cups I am sure he can help us with this project also.

I would be interested in just the slider, but the pendulum option is like frosting on the cake. I have teh pollington version that has an adjustment on the mounting bracket, it's just not as friendly as what's out there for pin sights.

Hey All,
Glad you guys like the sight. Actually, it's designed to attach to an HHA 5519, and in under a minute. The red dot version works on an HHA platform as well. Awesome sights in their own right. :wink: After using several other pendulum style sights, never completely satisfied with any, I made one that was solid, smooth, and the sight window stays perpendicular to your line of sight. I think it helps me keep the aperture centered through the peep hole. The first time I tried it, I had to check it from the side because I wasn't even sure it had moved! Both still need some fine touches before I'll be satisfied. It's been about a four year thought process sitting in a whole lot of tree stands, but they're turning into something cool.

Anyway, nothing worse than a newbie that won't shut up, so, it's nice to be on the sight. Some of you I already know, the rest I look forward to meeting.

Thanks,
Scott
