Just want to share some speed information.
I compared my '07 BEII with a new model from another company recently. Both were set at 28.5 inch dl, 57 lbs draw weight, whisker biscuit rests and sims string leeches, same 408 gn. arrow used.
BEII (E mods) = 242 fps
Other = 256 fps
Then, I installed a set of 12 mods, with approximately 1/2 the tail trimmed off. This made let off approximately 69%, with a little stiffer, but consistent feel throughout the draw. New speed with no other changes = 257 fps.
I won't mention the brand compared to, but I will say it's advertised IBO is up to 330 fps.
Just thought some of you may be interested. Lyle

Yes Lyle I believe to know the bow you're talking about. The problem with the IBO rating is that all the equipment is set at 70#'s and 30" draw. I questioned that a few years ago because most people do not have that draw length. They do it just to show speed. Speed is not the only thing that kills as good hunters knows. But what you have shown is a very good point for those searching for speed in tournaments. Thanks for the info.

Yes, I just wanted to give my findings for viewers. What a 330 rated bow is at, at the specs listed, and that the BE is right there with it. Lyle

Kind of what we all expected. Thanks for confirming it, Lyle.
