This is a story of 5 deer 1 buck & 4 does that ran the gauntlett and lived to feed another day. It was the vermont youth hunting weekend and after sitting on stand till ten me and my son headed to the store for a coffe and meet up with 4 other freinds and ther sons. After telling the mornings hunts we decided to set the boys up on this loging road about 50 yards apart and me and my freind bob RIP. were going to walk through from the other side and see if we could push something ther way . this is a short drive you can walk it in about 10 min as me and bob headed in we were just about to split up when he saw deer about 100 yards in front of us. We started to walk towrd them got on the radio and told the boys to get ready we had deer heading ther way. After about 30 seconds we heard the first shot then the second then the third well to make this story short ther were 17 shots in all .After what sounded like little bayroot . Me and bob started towards the boys and ther dads we thought we see some venison on the ground. well we finally reached the boys they were all out in the woods looking for blood. as i reached jeff he told me the story all the deer heading for himand his boy the deer stopped 40 yards infront of them. after the first shot the deer turned and ran right down in front of the rest so all had shots .as the deer ran the gauntlett and each had 3shots some 4 not one deer was hit. we all had a good laugh but i wish i was able to see the shots . jeff said it was quite a site. thanks to all TSM

Nice story and a day none of you will forget. Tough to hit running deer.

Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

That was a very nice story. That is one of the reasons I enjoy taking kids out to the woods. Just hope there luck is better next time.
