November 8 at 4H00pm this beautiful deer came at my hunting spot, as I was sitting ground level behind my camouflage skirt i saw 2 females in my after noon (can’t shoot female were I am). When that big buck came out the woods in my carrots, he took me by surprise… I grab my bow silently but stood up to fast, he saw me and ran away, I said to my self, oh no you are not running from me like that… I got out and start hunting it in the woods. About 15 minutes later I catch up on him and saw him moving so I measured the distance with my range finder, he was exactly 25.8 yds away, nothing in the way, left side shot. Knock my arrow aim and let it go, oufff hart shot, the front end drop down but got up and ran 75 feet before he felt down for good.

Big 8 points, 225 pounds emptied, approx 7 or 8 years old.

My first deer hunt and bow hunting above that, WOW just can’t wait for next year.

For those interested, yes it is a Quad HD rest (fall away rest) and working perfectly on a screaming Eagle SE689.

Rick what kind of broad head were you using. The head sounds like it is a good one to do that much damage after going through the shoulder blade.

Thanks CayoteTim, of course it does the job, 20 years ago that was top notch equipment right... well 20 years later, the deer as not change the wood as not change only us did but great improvement is always welcome. for example what i don't like about my bow is 49" is to long when hunting in more dense wood specialy on small game , always have to watch for small branch that get stuck were the string meet with outer limb, same thing were the power cable meet with the cam. Beside this nothing to complain, i really like that bow.
