Seen a few posts on this on AT, and I must admit it crossed my mind a few times  . Looked at using a Browning Cobra bow (two wheel/all wood riser with integrated limbs) as a proto type base about 4 years ago. Problem was ease of cableing and the fact it would need a shelf style rest to make the riser strong enough. At that time I was looking at a shoot-thru system but again the load would cause a lateral twist at the sight window.

Any Ideas?

The last time I looked Ideas were a dime a dozen, showing you can make them work is............Priceless!

Here is bow that I was talking is on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/vintage-browning-co ... 2ead51308f

I believe this is a good start to build an all wood, low poundage ptroto type for this bow.

Not sure that the riser section is beefy enough for what you want to do.

You may be very correct, I have a few dings in the shop walls from testing these projects out with too big of a dream and not enough riser, limbs or other parts  .............................kind of like the Chuck Yager of the bow world. :D
