This is a email I got just thought I'd pass it along. It's a little long but worth the read.

Subject: FW: HR-45 Bill to track our fire arms on 2009 1040 tax return
Well, America wanted change! Things are changing. Watch out............
This must not pass! Call your Senators and Congressmen.
Concerning the Blair-Holt proposed legislation. Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.
This bill was introduced on Feb. 24. This bill will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.
The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage, http://www.senate.gov// You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2 099.
You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.
Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.
It has started.
Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar.
To find out about this - go to any government web site and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver's License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -Each update change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked
and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.
If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along.
This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.
This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.
If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe.
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-45
Please.. copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA, whether you support the Right to Bear Arms or are for gun control. We all should have the right to choose.

Yes tcrocker Iwas very aware of this bill and have been speaking w/ the proper channels in my state against it....Also encouraging all that I know to do the same wether it be e-mail or phone call or personal appearance to your senators office if we don't speak up we will lose our rights!!!!! As we have already lost to many now! Most people don't know this but a bow is concidered a projectile weapon and falls under the catagory of a gun!!!! If you don't believe that, ask anyone who has been in trouble for a felony or lost their rights due to child support!!!! Those people are not even allowed to own a SLINGSHOT!!!! your congressmen or senator will tell you differant but if they pass this bill all gun owners will be treated like common criminals.....

Our goverment must realy fear us. If they would just do what they should do, what they were voted in for there is no need to fear the people. Whats that saying about a unarmed people?

I learned a long time ago that a scared person is more dangerous than one w/ no fear..... Our government obviously don't realize how many scared people there will be if they take our guns.....I've done a lot of history and government research in the past few weeks and the findings will either make you mad or scare the heck out of you, or in my case both!!!!!!!!!

You're both right in what your talking about. If people was to do a little checking in some of the countries that have banded guns of all kinds, they would see that the crime rate has rose faster and that only the criminals have guns. If I was a robber and knew that only the cops and myself had a fire arm then going into someone's home would not scare me at all. When you have no fear of being shot or killed then you do not worry about those things. The only thing you worry about is if a neighbor sees you and calls the cops. Because the home owner is going to be unable to do anything about it. But if there is someone there with a fire arm and is not afraid to use it then I would think twice about entering that home or business do to the fact I maybe shot and/or killed. These things have already happened in some foreign countries already so how is to say that the same thing could not happen here in the U.S. !!! So this is not just for gun owners it is for all people with a weapon of any type canons, bows, antiques war weapons, ect.. So everyone needs to get in on this problem in our government.

I found out last night there is a step further in the gun ban, IT is the "Inter-American Convention Against Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficing in Firearms, Ammunition, explosives, and other related material!!!!! I got the info from GOA (gun owners of america) go to their web site and check it out, it would ban reloading, black powder guns etc, etc, etc, under their definition in this statement even bb guns would be on the chopping block! ! ! ! ! this is clearly a shot to our second amendment rights!!!!!! I mean heck I'm all for gun control! I've said for years and taught my boys if you can't use a weapon in a respectable manner you don't deserve to own or handle them. I beleive the punishment should fit the crime!!!! YOU know rob a liquor store do time, and never have gun rights again! point or fire at some one same thing!!! I also belive in the death sentence, you kill out of cold blood, you get a one way ticket to the firring squad!!!! Its time we start letting our local and state legislators know we don't like their IDEAS of gun control before "control" becomes BANNED.
