I got the camera out the other day to take a photo of something, and a hummingbird landed on the feeder as I was passing the window, so thought I'd share a rough shot.

We added an Oriole feeder last night, and as I was looking out the window this morning, a female flew in. She went to each of the four access ports, then went on her way. Beautiful birds.

We have several bird feeders also and a couple humingbird feeders. Always take the time to watch them. We have two different humingbirds.
The Ruby-throated Hummingbird and the Rufous Hummingbird.

I was upstairs, in the room above the feeders earlier today. I looked out and saw the male oriole feeding. I took a photo from above, and one in the tree, but zoom is minimal and photos are through the screen. When he lands in the blossoming apple trees - what a color combo.

My sister that lives in Iowa had feeders and would have several orioles in at a time. When her apple trees were blossoming, orioles, cardinals, bluejays - God's color pallet. Beautiful sight.

Hummingbirds are awesome. I rarely get to see them anymore. I should put some birds feeders out. I doubt I would see any hummingbirds where I live, but I might see some other cool birds, that is, if the squirrels don't hog everything down.

We have several bird feeders and two humingbird feeders as well as Sues flowers. We see them all the time. And Sunday a humingbird flew into the garage. Sue was worried it would not find its way out, I told her if we left the door open it would fly out on its own. The bird kept flying against one of the windows. So I used a butterfly net we had for the kids and caught it and released it. :D

I told my wife you caught a hummingbird, without anymore details. She got that look on her face, expecting the worst. When she asked "why?", I just had to tell her you were having it mounted. Pushing buttons. :P

I let that soak in for about 3 seconds and told her the actual events, that you were trying to keep it from harming itself. Then I got the other look. :?

Lyle did I tell you about the coyote yesterday that came into the calling and decoys while hunting turkeys? Have it on video leaving. The coyote was about 40 yards from the decoys and I turned on the camera and he must of heard the camera turning on. He started to go back the way he came out. I filmed him as he did. At about 70 yards away he stopped to look back from a small knoll. About 15 minutes later I heard gobbling and three jakes came out just about where the coyote left the field.
Great day :D
