Tell us your strangest most unexplainable experience in the woods.

Along time ago we were hunting in the area of Lewiston, Montana. We were not using tree stands (Did anyone use them in the 60s) but one of the guys got up in the crotch of a big tree. Later we met up and he showed me an old land deed he found, in a bottle , hid in the tree. Don't know why it was there. Never did find out any more about it.

I would love to give everyone a story about the woods, but we dont have any woods

We would have to agree to that for the most part.
But beautifull country full of wild game, and I mean lots of wild game

For me it would have to be doing bear baits one day with Willie and Carl.
Without question the wildest/funniest two guys I ever met. If I had been baiting bear with any other two guys acting the way they did would not have been happy. But with these two it was so hilarious it was OK.
At one time as I was coming back from the bait I heard Carl screaming and looked up toward the road where they were waiting for me while smoking cigarettes and saw Carl hanging upside down from the railing on a small bridge by his knees yelling. And this is only one of many strange unexplained events of the day. And I cannot say I was not forewarned as I had invited one of their hunting partners to come along who declined and recommended I only take one because the two of them together would be way to crazyyy.
