I found a black eagle that is marked: BE, SS, 50/70, Omni flight 43, serial #3874 None of the cam boxes (short, medium, long) are marked. What is this? Will this go out to a 30" draw?

It appears that you have exactly what the Spec. stickers, a Super Short draw Black Eagle! The bow has a draw length of 24 to 26 inches. If I am not msitaken, to get it to a 30 inch draw would require a very expensive change of the power limbs, outboard limbs, cams, power cables, yoke cables, timing system and bow string.
Find someone that has a LH Medium draw Black Eagle that wants/needs a LH Super Short draw Black Eagle and make a trade.
Frank

Thanks Frank. I never knew there was a super short. I don't have the bow, I found it for sale on another forum. I am looking for a left hand medium BE or BEII.

I just looked at the spec chart for a short LF and see that the draw length adjusts from 26" to 29" depending on which cam module is installed.

The 2000 oneida black eagle SS came in draw lengths of 24 to 26 inches. The 2001 to 2003 oneida black eagle SS came in draw lengths 25 to 28.5 inches. The CP Oneida Black Eagle Short lf draw lengths are 25 to 28 inches.

So, will this go out to a 28" draw, the wife might be interested in it.
Also, is there a way to get the Hawk out to 28" draw?

Yes the Hawk can be converted to use medium cams and different cables I have been told. A freind has one and we call it a super hawk. And would go to 28 inches i have been told.

I'm sure this information is on here somewhere but I can't seem to find it.
What kind of realistic speed does the BE II put out around 65-68 pounds?

I was getting 285 on average out of mine at 70 lbs. shooting a 355 grain arrow @30" draw. It was a medium LF.

Oakwood, that's good to hear. Wonder how much loss there would be with a 425 grain arrow? 285 is what I was getting out of a Kestrel at 65 pounds.

Marty the black eagle is roughly 5 fps slower than the falcon and extreme. You have chronoed the extreme if I remember correctly so subtract the five fps and you will get the speed your looking for. Also keep in mind with the speeds others get that every bow is set up with different strings and modules. So the speeds will also vary there.

Regardless, that's way better than I was thinking it would be. My Bowtech is IBO'd at 330 and at 72 pounds, 30" draw, new America's best strings (452x) is at 334 and whisper quiet. I was extremelly happy with the speed my Kestrel had. The old Aero Force was just not fast enough for my liking, just a personal thing. I can't afford another Kestrel at the moment but miss the smoothness and ease of the Oneida's. So, that leads me towards the Black Eagle II. New enough to be visually plesent, fast enough to satisfy that need, and still simple to work on. I'm guessing with a little trying 275-300 fps is very realistic. Now I just need to find an affordable BE II.

What are the differences between the BE & the BEII? And, which is better & why do you say that?

Marty, both the oneida black eagle one and the cp oneida black eagle two are very good bows. The black eagle one is a little lighter and the black eagle two has less hand shock. The black eagle two weighs four ounces more with added material above the sight window and less material near the bottom of the window. The area of the riser around the grip is more rounded.
