Hi all, thought i'd drop a few lines after my scouting trip to Wisconsin, I took a few days and checked out the food plots and hung my stands and I did see a couple of good shooter bucks that have been on my hit list for a couple of years, but the big treat that really has me excited is the number of black bear in Northern Wisconsin has! I ran dogs with the Wisconsin bear hunters Assn, and what an awsome bunch of people they are!!! ( it's the dog training season right now) and what a blast that was. I only went with them for a morning but we did tree a little one. I did see about a 300 pounder cross in front of me when I was heading out of Ladysmith. I turkey hunted there this spring and saw 2 bears in three days. We actually had a very large bear spook off a longbeard we were working for my buddies wife Anita... I never ever thought i'd see that inthe turkey woods...In Wisconsin it is about a 7 year wait for the states bear lottery system but im only 5 years away now!!! I can only hope I the states of Minnesota and Maine will be good to me this fall for my scheduled bear hunts , reguardless I know I will have a great time and Joe says he 's putting me on the ground with my Oneida so I am really excited to try that. Can't wait Joe, I know we will have fun!!!! I really hope the deer flys wont be as bad as they were up in cheese country... man... talking about having to be thick skinned... Happy scouting to all, and take care..
