Hello, (I am French little bit English-speaking, I make use of a translator of the Net)
After Aero Force :D which did not pose any problem, I passed to the Black Eagle ESC short. I draw with 50 lbs and with a 520 grain arrow, a draw length of 27, and module “F” (let off 80% ?) with strips manual.
I have a problem of frequent rupture of cable of force. I changed the yoke and the power in January. After approximately 2500 shootings, the power cable broke.
According to your standard (5000 shootings, 60lbs, 540grains) the rupture of this cable seems premature.
Can you light me?
What do I have to change? (except for the bowman).
In a friendly way

Where exactly did the cable break? Were there any strand failures first? Are there any sharp edges anywhere that the cable may contact during the draw cycle? I had a problem with a couple of broken strings on my BE ESC. After the second one a noticed a sharp edge on the limb tip. I filed it down smooth and did not have anymore failures.

Mark

Hi Rene34, shooting 50 pounds with a 520 grain arrow your power cables should last longer than 2500 shots. Answering Badgers questions should give us a better idea of what happened. Then we can discuss what needs to be done further.

Thank you for these answers
it is also my idea, I should make more than 2500 shootings before breaking.
And for Mark,
"on the limb tip" What is it? Is it the hinge of the limbs ?

here the photograph of the cable, that think about it?

Joe,

Along the same lines. If you have a strand or two broke is that something to replace right away or can you get by for awhile without worry. Thanks Mark

Rene, I was talking about the grove that the string loop sits in. My BE apparently had a small sharp edge that didnt get removed and over time it wore thru my string. Lucky for me no damage was done to the bow. the first time it happened I blamed the string, but the second time I found the problem. I had already made my post before I saw your picture.

Renee,

Check your cam for a bad edge. From the picture it appears to be it the spot where it passes around the cam.

Thank you very much and cheer :!: :!:

After having looked at, do I think indeed that it is the problem ?

Which is the solution? To change the cam or only to file?

Rene, from the pictures it looks from here like the cam needs to be buffed or filed with a fine file. I have seen this before and when I do I file the area then touch up with paint. If the filing does not take off enough this will show then we file a little more and repaint. Whenever cams show that the cable is rubbing off paint this should be done.
