I recently replaced power and yoke cables on my 2001 BE after finding a broken strand on one power cable. Yesterday while changing out modules, I found one of the four modules was missing. I know it was not missing for an extended period of time because I changed modules a few weeks ago. So, the question is whether missing one of four modules can contribute to cable breakage, and if so, how likely is it? What do you think?

Tony,
when drawing the bow with a missing module if the cable hits a sharp edge when drawing the bow over and over will weaken the cable at this point. I have also seen bows where the shooter drew the bow so the back of the cam eventualy cut into the cable causing them to break. Without seeing your bow it would be hard to say for sure. Tony, if you dont find this module let me know and I will send you one. Check to see if the little allen set screw is still there because you may need one of them also. Whenever replacing modules I shoot the bow some them recheck the set screws from time to time to make sure they are still tight.
Joe

I was also concerned about the dynamic imbalance of the bow being shot while missing one module. I imagine things get a little violent at that point.

I looked for the module on my shop floor and in the grass where I shoot, but no luck. All set screws are there, but I have noticed that they get loose and need to be tightened occasionally.

Anyway, I do need just one F-module if you have one to spare. I'll send you an e-mail on your website with my address. Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony,
the modules are nylon I believe and when first put in the set screws set in some. Once tightened a couple times are good for some time. I do check them once in a while when doing maintenance on my bows. I will send you an f module once I get your email. Thanks Joe

Joe, I received the replacement modules in the mail today. Thanks.

All BE systems seem to be working well now with the new cables. Bow shoots better than I do which is all I can ask.
