You should not back out the limbolts to far as a way to lower poundage. It may ruin the threads in the end of the riser. The correct way to lower the draw weight would be using the proper limbs. Or recabling.

But can you back out the limb bolts "too far" for it to be considered unsafe?

I am new to the bowfishing bows but have built quite a few and the range seems to be between 30 and 45.
But I also know of some shooting mid twentys and some shooting as high as 95 pounds for deep water.

right now im shooting 45 pounds. you dont want to go too low. somewhere around 32 is perfect for most anything

I picked up a really clean Tomat off archerytalk and I'm going to get geared up and learn me some bowfishing! I cant find anywhere as to what you can set your bow for the lowest draw weight for bowfishing. I was "told" the lower, the better....for fish. Is this true?

I cant read the writing anymore on the plackard off the bow...I think the serial ends with 5656 oh and the same under the grip says TXL5656.

I'm going to a local bow shop today to buy some goodies!
