I live in Wyoming and bow fish in wyoming and nebraska. Not a lot of tournaments around, short season, but plenty of carp in public waters. I keep a bowfishing rig in my boat all the time so when the walleye aren't cooperating I can swack a few carp. I have shot the Caseville Mi. tournament twice, if you ever get a chance to go to it go its a kick.

Anyone in the thumb area of Michigan? I'm down around Detroit (Lake St. Clair and Detroit River) but get up there often.

oklahoma. fish arkansas. cimmiron when its flooded and have bowfished ft. gibson. really want to try grand river low water dam this year or soon. but i dont have a boat right now

Wisconsin, mostly on the rivers just south of Wausau. Planning on trying some new lakes in the state this year.

I live in Ky but fish in In, ill, Tn, Al, La, Tx, and maybe in Mi this year. I dont have a favorite cause I change with the fish through out the year.

Bowfishing the Ohio

Congradulations Electro, sounds like you already know what your doing. I plan on trying it in the river this year with Bowdoctor from this site. He has bowfished the river in the daytime. And taken many carp. We plan on setting up a boat for night bowfishing. I was told this is much better than during the day.

I've only been twice so far, but I will be going more this year for sure. So as of right now just on the Ohio here in good ol KY. My first night out I shot 5 fish (bighead carp) The smallest one being 11lbs biggest one was 38lbs!!! The 2nd time out I was able to shot 7 none as big as the first time but this stuff is very addictive. A friend is getting us a boat fixed up right now, cant wait till it warms up.
