Sheep tags are hard to get and are considered once in a lifetime. We have four different sheep here. California Bighorn, Mountian goat, Desert sheep & I think Nelson sheep. My hunting buddy has been putting in for 14 years and hasn't drawn a tag yet. I don't know what a legal ram is, once you draw a sheep tag a class is required and they tell you all the specs there. You also are required to attend a class on a military base in Las Vegas on hunting on or near their bases. Only one I'm interested in is Mountian Goat.

Yes Marty those are some nice pics of sheep. How hard is it to get a tag for them? Also what is the legal size for rams there.

Well, it's been a while and I've had a little time on the computer. Here are the best shots I have of the Bighorn Sheep. Mind you, these were taken from inside a blind with an iphone.This was truly an AWESOME experience.

All 7 drinking 15 yards away

There are 6 in this one 28-40 yards

The big ram, 26 yards straight across from me

Marty that is a great looking goat that you have. It is a trophy to put on the wall and glad to see that the wife thinks so. The pictures made the story come to life for those who could not be there, glad you took the time to share it with us. I'm glad to finally get a face to go with the person. The wife and I still like to laugh at the first time you described yourself as the wagon burner. Again congratulations on the nice antelope. Gene

Thanks guy's, I forgot to say what I think on his horns. I was told by Nevada Department of Wildlife that Antelope shed their horn sheath's each year. Apparently the black outer sheath is finely woven hair? Anyway, look at the left cutter horn, if I didn't know better I'd say that is a bullet hole from a botched poaching trip earlier in the year because archery is the first season to open. Also, both tips seem to be "twisted" and look pretty cool.
Times are a little tight with my job but the wife said "put him on the wall", it's two first's for you. Now I have to wait five years to put in for another buck but can apply for a doe tag every year.

Marty, you pulled it off, GREAT JOB!! I had a good feeling about your set-up and you didn't disappoint. The goat is a "Bruiser", and you should be really proud. I know that I would be!!
