Don't won't to tip off my deer of my presence early season. Always put my buck faceing toward me so that the buck will approachs from the front of my decoy so it presents a quarting away shot.
I don't know anything but just my opinion with my experience using them.

Only once did I have good luck & that was with a featherflex beeded decoy, buck came in & circled the decoy. Took one thru the boiler room & dropped 20 yards away.
