I chose Accuracy. I want a bow that is inherently accurate from the start to work with. Some bows can be made accurate, but you have to work hard at it. Next on my list is ease of making the bow quiet.

i chose speed because us short draw archers need all the help we can get. i was shooting a mission at 222fps, then switched over to an elite gt500 and jump up to 284 at the same poundage, and heavier arrows. i am now considering an oneida. you can fix accuracy by practicing, you can fix sound with simms. you cant really do alot about speed with a 27" dl. unless you want to shoot an 80 or 90lb dw. i shoot a 60ld dw on everything. i have already shot some oneidas and they are smooth.

I love a good looking bow. I love a super quiet bow. But, if it can't put the arrows on the dot... I don't like no matter what.

I also chose "quiet"! I do so because I view an alarmed Deer or other Game as a loaded Pistol. If the Deer hears you draw the bow, then you have just cocked the hammer on a hair triggered Pistol and when you release the arrow, that Pistol goes off. In that I mean, since the Deer heard the draw, it is now alarmed (Pistol hammer cocked) and ready to react to any other sound (release of the arrow, thus pulling the trigger on the Pistol), they can sometimes jump above or duck below an arrow in flight.

I do believe that Oneida Eagle bows are more accurate than other bows due to their unique design. However, a bow (no matter the brand and type) is only as accurate as the person shooting it! Practice makes perfect and usually guarantees a killing shot and less wounded Deer or other game.

Hey Joe!
Buddy, I would like you to add another poll, very similiar to this one. But instead ask, "If you could IMPROVE one thing in the design of your bow, what would it be?"
This was a good poll, but since we are all Oneida shooters here, we all KNEW that it would be "smoothness" and "accuracy" since no one else really makes a bow that can compete with Oneida bows in these departments and that is why most of us gravitated to them in the first place. What did suprise me was how low "looks" ranked! The gorgeous lines of the bows are what first drew me to them.

I choose accuracy and by that I don't mean shooting accuracy that mostly depends on me holding the bow but engineering accuracy and craftmanship when building the bow!

I really want a bow that is accurate, the bush we hunt in is really thick and sometimes the shooting lanes are pretty small.

Hi Electro, we agree acuracy has a lot to do with the archer, but put that their to help CPO know what was most important in the minds of the shooters. And bows with higher brace heights and longer axle to axle bows are just more forgiving for most of us to shoot. The nice thing about quiet is that oneida bows can be made quiet with the addition of accesories and the proper arrow.

I choose quite. They already have great looks and are very smooth. They may not be as fast as some but they hit like a sledge hammer. I also think accuracy comes with practice. But thats just my opinion.

Smoothness

Hello Joe and all. This is my first response to one of the polls on the forum.

I must say that accuracy of the bow I shoot is very important, however, being a 66 year old man, due to the smoothness of Oneida, I am able to draw 60 pounds even with a neck injury. Without being able to do this first, accuracy would not be a factor to consider. One has to be able to draw the bow first before one can shoot. Oneida bows enable me to do this because they draw very smoothly and I am therefore able to shoot accurately.
