Here are the pics from my QAD pro drop away set up. I have a RH 2005 Black Eagle Short, 29" draw length with I think the 15modules giving me 65% let off at 70lbs. I utilized an L-shaped or dog leg piece of aluminum attached at the module screw and timing screw spot on the lower right cam. I would have used a flat piece of aluminum, but this piece was readily available from salvaged dental equipment. Extra hole in it was already present. I had to drill holes for the two attachment sites, and for attaching the binding screw/post at the end. The binding post holds the tension cord. I utilized the plastic attachment apparatus that came with the rest to set the length of the cord and loop. I didn't serve the cord, only utilized black o-rings to shorten/narrow the loop as necessary. The cord needs to be removed from the binding post when the bow is set in press blocks so that the rest is not over-rotated and damaged. Hope this helps. I really like this set up and hope this helps anyone who wants to use it too.

I finally got down to setting up the QAD Drop Away using an aluminum dog leg bracket as Road Hogg had suggested. I must give Road Hogg total credit for the idea of how I got it to work. I have shot the bow close to 100 times with the QAD Pro Drop away working flawlessly when the rest begins locked in the full capture position. The set up will not consistently load the arrow, lock it in the full capture, and rotate into the final firing position if the rest is in the locked down position the way my Mathews Switchback does. This is a non-issue for me since the rest is always in the full capture position while hunting, and holds the arrow securely when practicing. I am taking pics tonight of the set up and will post them asap.

Just wanted to update you guys on the QAD set up. I tried attaching the cord to a binding screw at the timing screw location on the lower right side cam. It pulled the rest into position, but unfortunately does not leave enough slack in the cord for the rest to fully drop away. It has become apparent that the cord will have to be attached closer to the rest which is also further away from the axis of the cam. I will have to fabricate a 90degree piece to achieve this similar to the way Road Hogg set up his whammy, but in a different orientation. Of course this is still theoretical. I will post pics as soon as I get it set up properly. Due to the holiday season, it may take me a month to get it right.

Yes I spoke with Jerry and using the whammy may not be exactly the same but can explain how he sets them up. He said no problem give him a call.

Watching this with great interest. I like the whisker Biscuit on my Black Eagle II, but wish I could try a QAD.

Brad that's what we are all here for. To help each other in the best way possible. So get in touch with Road Hogg he will be very helpful on how to set up for the QAD. If you ever think of using the limb driver rest let me know and will hook you up and help any way needed. Gene

I think you're right, the way Road Hogg has his set up looks comparable to what I need. Thanks for the help,

biglit21 not a problem on the late response. If you look here in the discussion area you will a section for drop away rest. There are pics there to look at and see how they work. The one that I make is there but set up on the top limb for a limb driver rest. The part works the same but only on the bottom limb. That is why I need to know if lh or rh shooter. I have used this part on a whammy rest and have had problems at all. But I think that you may need a different type of connection for the QAD. I believe that it works under tension of the cord to make it go off. There is one on the site that shows just how it works. If you need any help let me know and will try my hardest to help out. Gene
