Can I simply change the power limbs from 50-70 to 35-55 for the wife or is there more involved? She also needs the medium cams as her draw is 28.5.

Marty, the string length on the 2003 medium Oneida Black Eagle should be 43.75 with a brace between seven and seven point five.

What length string goes on this bow? I measured total length and got 44 3/4 tip to tip. I think the cables are red on the outside and white on the inside. Doesn't seem to match up to what's in the specifications thread for the BE.

Marty the CPA serial numbers are just that and by adding one to the first number gives you the year.

Thanks Joe. Does the serial number on these tell you how it came set up or just the year and model?
It has esc limbs and I think Skyline camo? I'll be needing to get a string and modules for it.

Marty the serial number indicates a 2003 bow.

Got the BE today and the tag is unmarked, all it has is the serial number.
C.P.A. 2208
I was told it's a medium 50-70. Can someone help out with id?

They are both great bows. The rubber bands are an easy install if your bow doesnt all ready have them. enjoy. Either way you cant go wrong.

Thanks Joe, I have been looking at few and had a "can't pass it up" deal on a CP Oneida Black Eagle fall into my lap. I've also been talking to a guy about a BEII. The only difference I can see id the BEII has the cable silencers (rubber bands) and I'd bet they will work on the BE. I'll be callin ya in a few days for some goodies .

Marty, both the oneida black eagle one and the cp oneida black eagle two are very good bows.
The black eagle one is a little lighter and the black eagle two has less hand shock.
The black eagle two weighs four ounces more with added material above the sight window and less material near the bottom of the window. The area of the riser around the grip is more rounded.

Regardless, that's way better than I was thinking it would be. My Bowtech is IBO'd at 330 and at 72 pounds, 30" draw, new America's best strings (452x) is at 334 and whisper quiet. I was extremelly happy with the speed my Kestrel had. The old Aero Force was just not fast enough for my liking, just a personal thing.
I can't afford another Kestrel at the moment but miss the smoothness and ease of the Oneida's. So, that leads me towards the Black Eagle II. New enough to be visually plesent, fast enough to satisfy that need, and still simple to work on. I'm guessing with a little trying 275-300 fps is very realistic. Now I just need to find an affordable BE II.

Marty the black eagle is roughly 5 fps slower than the falcon and extreme. You have chronoed the extreme if I remember correctly so subtract the five fps and you will get the speed your looking for. Also keep in mind with the speeds others get that every bow is set up with different strings and modules. So the speeds will also vary there.
