I have an extreme that I have set up @ 63lbs 27" draw and I set mine at 25 yards. I shoot an 430 grain arrow. @ 25 yards it is dead nuts. Anything out to 33 yards is a bullseye. I shoot a rihnheart block and the bullseye area is 8 inches. Any thing over 33 yards I aim a little high instinctively. I can shoot comfortably out 40yards. Out of a tree at 45 yards on a small rinhart 3d target which is about the size of a Florida deer I aim just above the back. It will hit 10 and 12 rings ever time. Don't get discouraged with the pollington scope. I consider it to be the best hunting site out there Barrnun. For 3d shoots I use my black eagle with same set up but use vital bow gear "star trek one pin with slide. I can shoot skoal cans @ 70 yards.

Mine is at 25 yards, from there and in I can hold right on, and be within 2 inches elevation wise, and hold over as I move out. I have found that the longer I own and shoot the bow with the sight the less I concentrate on hold over. It's almost like my brain is working and it figures it out for me!

I set my red dots, when I used them, to 20 yards. Then hold over, or under as needed. My shots over the last 3 years have been from 6 to 26 yards. I practice with a moveable sight out to 80 yards, but the area I hunt has lanes that do not extend past 30. Lyle

I set my red dot 20 for bear and 30 yards for deer. I have also seen others set at 20 or 25. Find what your comfortable with and practice.

I was wondering what yardage others set their red dots to. I shoot an Aeroforce X80 at 55-60# 80%, 27-28" draw with a 375gr arrow. I don't know the speed of my arrow but it sinks about 8-10" into my block target. I just got it zeroed for 25yrd before the rain hit so I don't know what it does at 20, 30 etc. Just curious what others set their dots to for hunting. I hunt from a tree saddle about 15-20' high in semi open woods depending on where I set up.
