The aeroforce is a great bow but not a speed bow. The 280 you mention is very good speed and to get more you can go to the lowest let off module you can handle with the longest module. So very short valley and low lett off will get more speed. You can also add a 452x string or 8125 as both will give you more speed.

I was at the factory for a hog hunt and a intro to womens in the outdoor 3d shoot while i was at the factory they were working on a proto bow in witch the power limb and the outboard limb butted together with two cams attached to hinge system in witch they ran the yokes and power cablews to steath cams they were yousing the steath riser did anything ever come of this design thanks tsb

Hi, sorry guys if this is the wrong spot because I couldn't figure out where to put it.

I have just bought an old 97 Aeroforce X80 fishing bow and sent it to Joe to be setup and rebuilt for Target shooting.

I am curious as to why the specs were lowered on the Oneida Aeroforce from 305fps to 280fps in the later models.Normal bow evolution would suggest it would get raised to 315fps like a certain other bow did.

Also I can't find a weight for the Aeroforce, How much does it weigh?

I am looking for real world feedback on this bow, what people have found to be good about this bow and what they have found to be it's limitations.

Are there any upgradable modules or limbs or strings for the Aeroforce X80?

If everything on bow has been reset and is all ok I would look at the length of your string. Check to see if brace is within spec also.

Saturday evening, I had my string snap and break off.
Long story short, poundage was lowered, and a repalcement string was used (Extra I had) poundage was reapplied.

However, draw is REALLY light, scales say roughly 60 pounds, but limb bolts are at rock bottom. So I am guessing that the power cables are stretched or the yoke, possibly both. Repalce both, or just the power cables?

Timing cable was/is fine

Johnson, your bow goes down to a long twenty eight inches with the short modules for the bow when shooting off the string in my experience. 28 is as short as the bow will go and that in my opinion is with the brace height set on the high side. This section of the forum is the welcome area so I am moving this thread to the tech section.

Adjusting the draw length depends on which model you have. Short/Medium or a long. And what you need to have for a draw length. Which model is your oneida light force and what draw length do you need.

i am lost on trying to read the manual in the charts and manual section. i am needing some help trying to figureing out the ;proper timing, teller, and tension on the cables and how to fix them if there wrong. sorry i am posting this here but i cant post in the tech area for some odd reason. so can some one please help me please. thanks for all the help

Sounds like one of early models. Check in the history section and you most likely will find a picture of one that looks like yours.

I recently purchased a used oneida in excellant condition. Love the unusual. Anyway now i'm trying to discover what model and year so i can be prepared for any future repair work. The bow is flat black has oneida eagle printed just above the risers. Serial number looks like A2549. Can anyone please help I'm anxious to learn more about this bow, it's just amazing to shoot.
